Wahiduddin Mahmud: Political Tags Are Unavoidable for University Teachers in Bangladesh
Today in Dhaka, Planning Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud spoke at a discussion titled “Budget for 2025–26 in the Context of LDC Graduation.” The event was held at a hotel in the capital, organized by the private research organization RAPID (Research and Policy Integration for Development). During his speech, Wahiduddin Mahmud said, “University teachers always have a political agenda—either they are part of the White group, the Blue group, or something else. But when collecting names for vice-chancellor appointments, I made it clear that certain standards must be followed.” He explained that while selecting candidates for vice-chancellors, he considered their number of
